Nutrition and Olympic Performance Reviews
with Dr. Udo Erasmus

"SUPER-FAT"

In the ten months leading up to the Salt Lake City Games, one of North America's Olympic teams had been quietly sipping "something thick and oily" from mysterious brown glass bottles. They didn't talk much about it - their trainer would only say it was perfectly legal.

Superfats may soon replace steriods as the performance enhancer of choice in training rooms around the world.

According to someone who should know, the athletes were guzzling down "super fats" - a concentrated blend of organic seed oils rich in super nutrients known as essential fatty acids. Studies show use of superfats can boost physical performance so tremendously that the substance may soon replace steriods as the performance enhancer of choice in training rooms around the world.

"Today's top athletes are turning from drugs to the science of nutrition to boost strength, increase endurance, and lessen the pain of injury, says Dr. Udo Erasmus, who developed the seed oil formula these Olympic athtletes and hundreds of other professional sports figures have incorporated into their daily training regimen. "Superfats - known to the scientific community as the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6 - can increase endurance better than steroids when taken in the correct ratio," says Dr. Erasmus.

A recent European study tested the results of superfat consumption on 41 runners, cyclists, and tri-athletes. Two-thirds of athletes who drank one daily tablespoon of superfat-laden seed oil per-fifty-pounds-of-body-weight experienced a major increase in endurance after thirty days. "One cyclist was able to ride more than twice as far before he became exhausted - which is an-unheard of increase in stamina," says Dr. Erasmus.

Dr Erasmus says by introducing Superfats into the diet, athletes can also elevate mood, sharpen mental focus, and speed recovery time. For maximum performance, oil consumption should be started at one tablespoon per fifty pounds of body weight per day. Doses can be as high as ten tablespoons per day.

Dr. Erasmus says that the best source of the superfats are oils of sesame seeds, safflower seeds, and sunflower seeds. To avoid creating symptoms of Omega deficiencies, the blend must be "perfected", meaning the ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 must 1 to 2. He says that many professional world chamption athletes already have incorporated essential fatty acid supplements into their training regimen.

"The only reason that athletes seek illegal performance drugs is because they are not consuming enough of the superfats," he says. " Adequate intake of superfats helps the body's naturally occuring hormones function much better."

Dr. Erasmus says that oils containing Superfats aren't only for Olympic competitors. "Couch pototatoes will feel a surge of energy too," he says. "They might even feel like turning off the TV and getting in shape for the next Winter Olympics.
